Bald eagle

Ornithology is one of my hobbies with my husband. I enjoy the beauty of birds while he also photographs them. Bald eagle is our all time favorite and challenge.

Glittering lake

A comission work to my sister's friend. She wanted something typically Finnish. What could be more typical than a lake in the middle of a forest in a country of thousand lakes. The size of the tapestry is 70x130 cm and it is woven in linen on painted worp.

New Dawn

“New Dawn”  is a hand woven Jacquard tapestry. It has a double weave structure and it is woven on painted warp. Both warp and weft are linen.
It was among the works that were selected to represent B.C. in Art of Craft exhibition during the 2010 Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver.

Open studio day

I share a weaving studio in Vancouver with textile artists Kaija Rautiainen and Gail Fromson.

On Saturday 2.10.2010 we had an open studio day. We were pleased to show our studio and work to so many of our friends.
